Rovers lifted the North Beds Charity Cup with a convincing 2-0 win over SML Division 1 side Langford at Stotfold on Thursday night thanks to Bilal Hassan's brace.
Rovers fielded a strong side and showed their intentions early on when Jermaine Hall's second minute shot was pushed over by Langford keeper Grant Beckwith.

Barton opened the scoring in the 5th minute when Hassan converted from inside the 18-yard box.
The Blues continued to press, but the blustery conditions hampered both teams.

Rovers were well on top in the first half and in the 39th minute, Hassan popped up again to double Barton's lead.
The second period started where the first left off with Barton having all the play as shots from Jonny McNamara, Bobby Dance and Hall forced more heroics from Beckwith.

Rhys Hoenes, Paul Andrews and Phil Smeaton all missed the target, while Langford cleared off their line three times as they failed to register a single shot at goal in a one-sided affair.

Rovers run out deserved 2-0 winners and lifted the trophy that dates back to 1908.

Assistant Manager Adam Fisher said: " We came to win and that's what we did.  The wind and the rain spoiled things but the lads all played their part and deserve their medals.  We were unlucky not to score a hatful, but credit to their keeper Grant Beckwith who was deservedly man of the match.
It's been a long hard season but we all have silverware to show for it. "
